embryos and abortion

here's a waker-upper 80% of down-syndrome embryos are killed in the womb, in other words are aborted. this is completely unnecessary, there are plenty of people who are waiting to adopt and are desperate for children. there are laws that protect children with down-syndrome here, but when in the womb are unprotected and are likely to be killed, "Whats the difference? Location?" Senator Brownback, questioned in his speech a few minutes ago. "this is an inconvenient truth..." and it gets worse... women have to be told of the pain the embryo will experience, and have inflicted on it. and after hearing this you have to wounder... if they give anesthetic to the baby when they do surgury within the womb, how can they say that the baby dosn't have feeling? people tend to de-humanise the embryo.

I completely agree. It is so frustrating how there are so many parents who want children, yet these woman abort thier children. Whenever I argue with someone about it, and ask why they can't give birth to the child and put it up for adoption they usualy give the same answer: It's very difficult to give up your child once you've seen it. It's the same child you're aborting!!
